International Academic Conference Places and Technologies 2014 tends to research and understand from the critical aspect the importance and role of technology in the design of creative ideas to improve places. Also, we want to detect the mediological importance of observing the rapid development of technology that is disproportionate to the social progress. The main tasks of the conference are defined in order to discuss the current issues related to:

• Design of places, facilities and infrastructure in line with new and future needs of inhabitants,
• Creation of favourable conditions for the advancement of innovation and business and
• Development of institutions and regulations with an aim of creating appropriate and high quality environment.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts on email: conference@placesandtechnologies.eu no later than 30th November 2013. Abstracts should be text only, up to 300 words long, and should be written in English, using the template on the web site: http://www.placesandtechnologies.eu. Aside from the abstract, please provide at least 3 key words. The authors will be informed about the acceptance of the abstracts no later than 15th December 2013.

Authors of the accepted papers are invited to submit full papers on email: conference@placesandtechnologies.eu using the template published on the website: http://www.placesandtechnologies.eu, no later than 5th February 2014. Both, abstracts and full papers will be reviewed by two international scientists.

Participants are welcomed to register for the conference by filling the registration form on the conference website: http://www.placesandtechnologies.eu.

Conference Places and Technologies 2014 offers the following conditions for participation
(each fee is valid for one person):

The participation fee includes:
• Access to the conference and all parallel sessions
• Full electronic proceedings and book of abstracts
• Lunches and coffee breaks during the conference

Additional charges for
• Conference gala dinner: 30 EUR

For the first 10 students whose papers are accepted for the conference will be allowed to participate without conference fee.

If you would like your paper to be include into conference proceedings, please pay the fee no later than 15th March 2014.

All papers will be presented at the conference via Power Point presentation and published in digital Book of Abstracts and Conference Proceedings, both catalogued with ISBN number. The best papers will be published in the International Scientific Urban Lab Journal (ULJ).
