Predavanje je deo programa manifestacije ”Grčki dani u Beogradu 2018“ koji organizuje Ambasada Grčke u Beogradu, pod pokroviteljstvom Skupštine grada Beograda.

Apstrakt predavanja:
Cilj ovog istraživanja je triptih: Helenizam, Nova domovina i arhitektura grčkih iseljenika. Na osnovu bibliografskih i fotografskih istraživanja i poseta na licu mesta, ova knjiga – “Buildings of Greek Expatriates in Belgrade, Serbia” [Zemun & Belgrade 18th- 20th Century] – Zgrade grčkih iseljenika u (novoj domovini) Beogradu, Srbija [Zemun i Beograd, 18-20. vek], autor knjige: Georgia Papanastasiou – nudi putovanje kroz vreme sa sveobuhvatnom prezentacijom grčkog arhitektonskog blaga iz od 18. do 20. veka, u gradu Beogradu (Zemun i Beograd u to vreme), Srbija. Prvo na komercijalnim raskršćima, a potom u gradovima i urbanim područijima, razvijene su zajednice Grka.
Većina ovih grčkih kulturnih “tragova” se već nalazi na spisku zaštićenih spomenika kulturne baštine Srbije. Postoji studija o razvoju grčkih arhitektonskih tradicija i urbanih kvaliteta, arhitektonskih stilova, zanatlija i arhitekata tog perioda.

Ali, osim opisivanja niza važnih zgrada, značajno je istražiti njihov razvojni proces kroz istorijske događaje, uključujući političke, ekonomske, obrazovne i organizacione, koji su uticali na urbanizam od 18. do 20. veka u Beogradu.
Navigacijom kroz antropogeografiju razmatraćemo glavne teme: a) formiranje osnove u kojoj je nastala i razvila se ova kolevka grčkog prosperiteta, b) objasniti razloge za izgradnju ovih zgrada u privatnom i javnom životu zemlje, i c) naglasiti funkcionalnu i arhitektonsku vrednost ovih zgrada naših predaka u jednoj zemlji (Srbiji), grupe malih ali važnih zajednica Grka, u poređenju sa drugim glavnim kolonijalnim centrima toga doba.

Georgia Papanastasiou
Bio:
Born in 1975 in Athens (Greece). She graduated School of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 1999.
She worked in Greece up to 2012, initially as applied in an architectural office and then as a self-employed with several external partnerships (co-founder of Architecture Studio ‘FOUR.M.A.’) and other collaborations.
She has dealt with Private assignments projects and architectural design development- Housing, especially in residential areas (housing complex & apartments), commercial areas (offices & dining areas, restaurants) and specific areas, furniture design & landscape planning (surrounding area) for children (creative employment services-workshops) in Hotel Resorts of Greece.
She has participated in several architectural competitions of ideas, international and national꞉ discrimination in ꞉ “Europan 6″/ reward ꞉2nd runner- up & Shops Offices “Dromeas” / reward ꞉1st runner- up , & participated on an event of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture꞉ ‘’Ten Days of Architecture- Reading The City’’(in Athens), scheduled events, publications and tours.
From 2013, she is lives in Belgrade, Serbia, continuing the cooperation between Greece and Serbia (Spaces for creative employment of children and teenagers, furniture design & landscape planning) in the Hotel Complex MED SEA HELTH SA (Halkidiki), reconstruction & refurbishment of offices at ANAMET – metal recycling company – Viohalco Group Property, Athens, Greece, participation in International Competitions (”ROOM 18” and ”COOK 8”).
She has also authored one book꞉ ”Buildings of Greek Expatriates in <a Stepmotherland> Belgrade, Serbia” [Zemun & Belgrade 18th- 20th Century].
