Smart Energy Regions
TUD COST ACTION TU1104, 2012–2016
This Action will investigate the drivers and barriers that may impact the long-term creation of low-carbon regions in Europe, due to the aim of avoiding catastrophic climate change and planning for the future, and will identify what can be done to assist the large-scale implementation of low-carbon technologies and processes. The main focus will be on new buildings and retrofit of existing buildings, their operation, embodied energy and potential for the use of low and zero energy supply.
Outputs of the Action include, inter alia, publications. Please take a moment to look at the book available for download presenting how relevant policies are being implemented in 26 European countries participating in the Action and how these are helping to progress the low carbon agenda relevant at a regional scale, and illustrating how industry and broader stakeholder groups can be involved in the process.
