We are pleased to invite you to the guest lecture by Dr. Giancarlo Cotella, italian Associate Professor of the spatial planning, which will take place on Tuesday, the 23rd of October 2018 at 18.00h, in the room 200 of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade:

“The Europeanization of spatial planning: reasons, mechanisms and dynamics of change”

Short biography:
Dr. Giancarlo Cotella is Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino. His research focuses on EU territorial governance and the Europeanization of spatial planning in the member states. More in particular, he explored and compared the spatial planning systems of Central and Eastern European countries and, recently, of other parts of the world (as United States and Japan).

He coordinated or participated to several international research projects (among which: MILESECURE-2050, ESPON COMPASS, ESPON ReSSI, ESPON URRUC, ESPON TANGO, ESPON Smart-Ist, ESPON 2.3.2 Governance, ESPON 2.3.1 ESDP) and published widely in the international literature. He has been visiting professor at various European and international universities and institutions. He actively participates in the activities of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP).
