Jörg H. Gleiter talk at the conference: Hybrid Talks XX “Computational Design”
We are pleased to invite you to attend the guest lecture by architect Jörg H. Gleiter, professor of architectural theory and the managing director of the Institut für Architektur / Architekturtheorie – Technische Universität Berlin. The lecture will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 19.00 hours, at the amphitheater of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. The title of the lecture is:
The Status of an Object. Philosophy of Architecture and the Overcoming of Presence.
Jorg H. Glajter (Jörg H. Gleiter)
The lecture will address the question of the object as central to the question of philosophy of architecture. Yet, the overcoming of the presence of the object is not, as is often held, the objective of philosophy of architecture, but is its precondition. With anthropology, epistemology, and aesthetic pragmatics the lecture will highlight the three theoretical positions upon which any philosophy of architecture must be based upon. Philosophically, architecture is more about time than space.
