20 students and teaching staff – Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Djukić, Asst. Dr. Jelena Marić and Asst. Dr. Branislav Antonić – from the Department of Urbanism of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade participated in the First national student workshop in DANUrB+ Project in Sombor on April 22, 2021. This workshop combined fieldwork and joint discussion between students and local experts about the ongoing work on student projects related to urban planning, culture, tourism, and strategic development with polygons in Sombor and vicinity. The fieldwork contained visits to cultural heritage: country building with the largest painting in Serbia, 18th-century city hall, the historic core of Sombor, and the Danube Riverside with the memorial museum of the Battle of Batina at Bezdan. In addition to the student activities, the faculty staff organised a meeting with local stakeholders from public institutions and local associations.
