The participants of the regional conference in front of Golubac Fortress
The last regional stakeholder conference in the Middle Danube Region in the DANUrB+ Project was held in Golubac on November 4-5, 2022. The conference was organised by teams from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and Golubac Municipality. The main part of the conference were sessions where stakeholders and partners from West Romania, Croatia and Serbia presented their organisations, development visions and potentials to cooperate at regional level. There were also special presentations of the DANUrB+ Atlas, technical project and school programmes in Golubac. Aside of the sessions, all participants had a cultural tour in the Serbian part of the Iron Gates Gorge, with cultural visits to Golubac Fortress and “Lepenski Vir” Archaeological Park.
Several participants were from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade: Prof. Aleksandra Djukić, who gave an opening speech and introductory presentation about the DANUrB+ Project, Asst.prof. Ivica Nikolić, who presented the technical project for Golubac, Svetlana Tolić, the financial manager of the project, Asst. Jelena Marić, who led the stakeholder meetings with a colleague from the Faculty of Architecture in Timisoara, Romania, Asst. Aleksandar Grujičić, who presented experience from workshops with children in Golubac, and Asst. Branislav Antonić, who informed participants about the activities related to the DANUrB+ Atlas. The local organiser was the Tourist Organisation of Golubac as an associate partner of the Faculty of Architecture on the project, with the great support of the National Library in Golubac.
