Report: First week of The Summer School of Architecture for students of the French school ESTP

First week of The Summer School of Architecture for students of the French school ESTP passed quite quick with an intensive program full of lectures and tours! Students were welcomed on Monday 12.06. by the Dean of Faculty of Architecture, professor Vladimir Lojanica, with an introductory lecture.
The tour of the plot area – block 44 in New Belgrade, which students will analyse, re-think and re-design within four thematic workshops was guided by associate professors Ksenija Lalović, Jelena Živković, Nataša Ćuković Ignjatović. Assistant professor Maja Dragišić and teaching assistants Snežana Zlatković and Predrag Jovanović.
A lecture in the Cultural monument protection institute and a tour of Kalemengdan fortress were delivered by architects-conservators Rade Mrlješ i Ivana Filipović Jork.
The impression of the View and panorama of New Belgrade from the top of Ušće tower were ruined a bit by heavy rain, but the bus tour of New Belgrade modern heritage ended in great atmosphere in the authentic ambient of one of the apartments in brutalist residential buildings of block 62, with a birthday cake!
