Dr. Jelena Bogosavljevic was born in Belgrade in 1983, where she completed primary, secondary and higher education. After graduating from Marko Orešković Elementary School, Zemun Gymnasium and Kosta Manojlović Secondary Music School, she enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade in 2003, where she obtained the professional titles of Architectural Engineer in 2006 and Master of Architecture in 2008, as well as the scientific title of PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning in 2020. She has a master’s degree in architecture for the studio of Mihailo Timotijević and Zoran Abadić, MScArch, and the final project for the studio of Dr. Vladimir Milenković, under whose mentorship she graduated with the topic of the master’s project entitled Super Mix – Belgrade Models for Contemporary Spatial Program Extensions: Belgrade Park and received her doctorate with the topic of her doctoral dissertation entitled Architectural Fiction: Project and Reality Beyond Reality, and before the Commission for Evaluation and Defense of the Thesis composed of Dr. Vladimir Mako, Full Professor at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, Dr. Miodrag Šuvaković, Full Professor at the University of Singidunum – Faculty of Media and Communications and Dr. Milorad Mladenović, Full Professor at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture. Her work experience is related to teaching at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, Department of Architecture – studio of Associate Professor Zoran Abadić, MScArch, and to the professional practice she realizes in the architectural bureau 1X2STUDIO in Belgrade. In the period since graduation, as part of the authorial team, She has received several awards and recognitions, including the National Nomination for the European Architecture Award Mies Van de Rohe 2024 in Barcelona for the realized work of architecture – Residential building for refugees and displaced persons in Loznica and the National Nomination for the European Architecture Award Mies Van de Rohe 2019 in Barcelona for the realized work of architecture – Judicial Building Misdemeanor Court in Pancevo, Award of the 37th Salon of Architecture in Belgrade in 2015 and Special Recognition Crystal Scales of Justice Prize of the Council of Europe in 2015 in Banja Luka, for the publication Model Court Guideline Instruction for the Basic and Higher Court of the Republic of Serbia. In addition, she is the recipient of the Milorad Macura Annual Award for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of architecture and urban planning for 2020, awarded by the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of Serbia. Since 2012 she has been a member of Union of Architects of Serbia, Association of Belgrade Architects, Serbian Chamber of Engineers.
