DANUrB team from the Faculty of Architecture of the Univeristy of Belgrade, alongside the team from a co-partner from Serbia, the University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Technical Sciences, got an award for the best cross-border project in the field of culture and cultural heritage in Serbia at a special ceremony, which was held within 6th National Conference on Cross-border Cooperation on November 14, 2018.

The aim of the seminar is to introduce film history with a strong emphasis on urban spaces and architectural elements, thus to provide an alternative perception of space and environment, mediated through cinematic culture.

University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture has organized an extra-curricular design workshop (17th – 23rd March 2018.) as an collaboration with ETH Zurich, Architecture of Territory Master Design studio. Seminar week included study visits to various locations in Belgrade and the group work at the Library of the Faculty of Architecture. Belgrade Unbuilt — Project for Public Landscape workshop is a part of the curriculum of the semestral program within the first year of the Master design studio Architecture of Territory (Assistant Prof Milica Topalović) of ETH, Zurich, whilst for the students of the first year Master’s degree at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, the workshop was conducted as an extra-curricular activity.

Italian Design Day 2018, held for the second time in Belgrade, was organised at the Faculty of Architecture on the 1st March 2018. The initiative to mark this occasion was promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, in partnership with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, the Milan Triennial, ICE – Italian Trade Agency, the Milan Furniture Fair, the Association for Industrial Design, “Compasso d’Oro” and “Altagamma” Foundations, with the intention of acknowledging outstanding Italian design as an important sector of Italian culture and economy, which generates an annual taxed income of about €32 billion.

/ 23.02.2018. @ 15.00 / The Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade invites all interested to the lecture: “Urban Sustainability – why it is important and how it can be achieved” – Dr. Jerry Anthony, associate professor of urban and regional planning at the University of Iowa, Iowa, The United States of America (USA). The guest lecture will be held on Friday, February 23rd 2018 at 3:00 pm, at the amphitheater of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, as a part of undergraduate studies curriculum activities fot the courses OASA-24071 Sustainable Urban Communities and OASA-24042 Traffic and Social Infrastructure.

IN:CONTINUUM, an extracurricular academic workshop was organised on Tuesday, 23rd January 2018, as the first step in a collaboration between the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture and the Museum of Science and Technology, initiated by Prof. Ivan Rašković, MSc Rifat Kulenović (Director of the Museum of Science and Technology) and MSc Anja Radaković (Senior Curator, Head of Programme Activities). The participants of this one-day workshop were the first year students of Master academic studies in Architecture and Integral Urbanism.

/ 14.-17.12.2017, Hall 7, Belgrade Fair / For the eleventh time, the Science Festival – the biggest science event in the region, will offer the best science fun for the visitors of all the ages. The Festival will take a place at the grounds of the Belgrade Fair, from 14th to 17th December 2017. The Faculty of Architecture also takes part at the festival with a simplified version of TWIST BOX project – the project of the desert house that the Faculty of Architecture developed in partnership with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering as well as the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, and takes part in the prestigious international competition Solar Decathlon Middle East – SDME 2018.

The University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, The Society for Aesthetics of Architecture and Visual Arts Serbia (DEAVUS) and International Association for Aesthetics (IAA) are pleased to invite You to the 21.st Intentational Congress of Aesthetics.

In the period from 28th October to 5th November 2017, at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, the international workshop “Glocal – Down Dorćol” was held, where students of Master programme in Integral urbanism and Master programme in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and the students from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning in Stuttgart, Master programme in Integrated urbanism and sustainable design took part. In the workshop proposal, the study and investigation territory was part of the Lower Dorćol area, between the streets of Tadeuša Košćuška, Cara Dušana, Dunavska and Francuska Street.

By the decision of the French Ministry of Culture from 17th October 2017, the diploma of the Engineer in Architecture – Master in Architecture is recognised as the equivalent to the French diploma for Architects. The diploma is issued by: The Faculty of Architecture, the University of Belgrade, Serbia.

/ 30.11.2017. at 19.00 / We are pleased to invite you to the guest lecture “Sustainable Urbanism and Globalisation: Architectural and Urban Transformations in Emerging Cities of the Middle East” of Prof. Ashraf M. Salama (PhD, FRSA, FHEA, A-RIBA), Professor of Architecture and Head of the Department of Architecture, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom. The lecture forms a part of the international research Erasmus+ CBHE Project: Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments – KLABS.

The next workshop is holding in Golubac (Serbia) in October, 15-17, 2017. The organiser of the workshop is the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade as a project partner, while its co-organiser is the Municipality of Golubac through the Tourist Organisation of Golubac as a associated strategic partner in the project.

/ 03 November 2016 / The Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade celebrated “170 Years Of Higher Education In The Field Of Architecture” in Serbia at the Yugoslav Film Archive on the 3rd of November 2016. This event marked the year 1846 as the year when Prince Alexander Karađorđević founded the “Engineering School” at the Belgrade Lyceum – such school title indicated a commitment to the construction industry. Today it is considered to be the foundation of higher education in the field of construction and architecture.
