The first in-person international meeting in DANUrB+ Project was held in Sombor on June 15-17, 2021. The national organiser of the workshop was the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade as the project partner, while its local co-organiser was the City of Sombor through the “Prostor” Public Enterprise as an associated strategic partner in the project.

The kick-off event and first partner meeting of the international DANUrB+ project, co-financed by the INTERREG Danube Transnational Program 2014-2020, took place online via Microsoft TEAMS on September 25-26, 2020, with participants from six Danube countries.

Inspiring the next generation conference, will be organized at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, on 23-27 August 2021.

DANUrB+ is a new project funded by the INTERREG EU Danube Transnational Programme, launched on 1st July 2020, to foster resilient use of cultural heritage and resources of the peripheral and border cities and regions along the Danube.

EPOS scholarships by DAAD for the 2021 MSc Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design programme are open for application now! This interdisciplinary double-degree links perspectives from the South and North by studying the first year at University of Stuttgart, Germany, and the second year at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. Students learn critical engagement with theories and practices related to dynamically transforming cities, new skills and methodologies how to link research and design, and how to ground knowledge in formats of reality-based learning.
